This two page resource is a must for a pre-reading assignment for the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. It includes six statements where students need to decide if they strongly agree, somewhat agree, somewhat disagree, and strongly disagree. They then have to give their reasoning. These six pre-reading reflection questions get students' brains activated and thinking about various themes, lessons, and ideas they will come across in the novel. It is great to see what students are thinking on these big topics before they begin the novel!! Not only is it fun and engaging for your students, the responses students give are also very interesting to read as a teacher!
