This is a complete set of questions (209) to provoke and test students' comprehension when reading the novel by Roald Dahl.
This product features a number of different types and styles of questions. Most focus on reading and basic fact-finding. Some seek opinions from students on action or character, and encourage them to justify those opinions. Others ask students to explain words from the text. By paying close attention to the text, and with some use of their dictionaries, students should be able to answer all questions.
The purpose of their completing this assignment is to guide students as they read the novel.
I usually give each student a copy of the questions when we begin the novel, and then use as homework, classwork etc.. My students love this routine.
There are 209 questions in total. It's a 9 page student handout, in Word format, so editable to suit your class. The 11 page answer key is also included.
The preview file contains the questions (and answers) for Chapters 1 and 2. Even if you don't purchase my product, this will give you a useful start to your study of the novel.
