Looking for a way to connect your novel study to the reading concepts you’ve been teaching all year?
This quiz is designed to do just that.
This chapter quiz over Charlotte’s Web goes beyond recall
and assesses your student’s understanding of the author’s use of language and the more nuanced aspects of story structure. The quiz is challenging, modeled around the common core and provides a bridge between novel study and standardized test preparation. The quiz asks your students to analyze the author’s language (including figurative language), vocabulary, point-of-view, story elements, characterization and summarization.
The product includes one quiz which covers the first three chapters of the novel. There are three questions per chapter, with the tenth question being a summary question over all three chapters. The quiz can be administered after a reading over all three chapters, or after reading each individual chapter. A key is included, as is a chart that illustrates which common core standards were used when designing the quizzes.
