Charlotte's Web is one of the most popular books ever written. It is easy to see why this book has continued to be loved and cherished by children and adults.
I re-read this book about 5 times while in the process of making all of the resources I offer. With each read, I became more and more invested in how this story teaches about life and caring for others. Wilbur changed from an emotional mess, who was bothered by everything, into a responsible father figure who protected Charlotte's children and nurtured her future generations for the rest of his life. We are able to follow him through the awkward emotional adolescent times (being teased by other animals at the Zuckerman's farm) and through his actions we are able to see how much Charlotte sacrifices for him in the name of love and friendship.
