Charlotte’s Web (Scholastic Edition) is a classic novel written by E.B. White, for children ages 8-12. The story has well-rounded characters, important themes/lessons for children to take away with them, and also has many elements of imagination, which is important in children’s lives. This book makes an excellent teaching tool about good character, love and friendship.

Using the planning sheet model, your students will be able to produce a well-structured and planned out report that gives a thought out description of the novel, characters, theme and important event. They will apply this book text to self by choosing a favorite character to compare and contrast with themselves.
The book report contains all the parts necessary for a whole novel study including:
-A Note/Planning sheet to be used as the book is read
-Book report guidelines and rubric for each paragraph
-Report due dates and manageable weekly assignments for each student to complete
-A visual project and enhancement to be completed to supplement the project (cartoon strip)

The report will have four parts:
