Charlotte's Web is a novel that teaches about life, death and the importance of having at least one supportive friend along the way. This novel is perfect for 3rd grade, but can be read with students in grades 2nd- 4th. If this book is read with a grade level above 4th, I would concentrate on larger themes and motives like, "Why was everyone so unnerved at the introduction of Uncle?" "What does Uncle represent?"
Or delve further into Charlotte's view of men and why she believes women are superior. *I can make this packet if there is demand for upper grades! Let me know:)*
This novel study covers 8 Language Arts topics and is a comprehensive review of Charlotte's Web. This packet is to be completed once your class has finished reading the book.
