This is the quiz I crafted based on my daily objectives for the first eight chapters. The first three sections all zoom in on vocabulary, as this book has a lot of challenging vocabulary. When I crafted this unit, I had a lot of English language learners, so I challenged them to identify a word's part of speech to help them in determining its meaning. As a result, there is a section on matching vocabulary, sorting the words by parts of speech, and using the words in complete sentences. There is a second section on determining the tone or mood of unfamiliar passages, as we zoomed in on how the tone and mood changed and looked at specific evidence.
