It emphasizes active listening, body control, and attention to task. It is particularly useful for students on the Autism Spectrum, or students with significant attention needs.
2 visual posters that display clear expectations for classroom conduct. The "Rules" outlined include:
-"Eyes on work" / "Eyes on Teacher"
-"Hands down" / "Hands to self"
Individual student reinforcement visuals that allow the student to receive GREEN "checks" when on task, and RED "X's" when off task.
Cut out student visuals and laminate. Place velcro, hook side, over the top of each RED choice.
Cut out check mark boxes and laminate. Place velcro, loop side, on the back of each check mark.
Students may start out with all of their checkmarks on their visual. When problem behaviors occur, the checkmark is removed and the student is on RED.
For positive reinforcement strategies, the student may start out with a blank visual, and earn check marks as he/she displays on-task behaviors.
