This game was a home run in class this past year. Students went crazy competing against the other branches in order to understand the concept of checks and balances. The class is broken up into the 3 branches of government and compete against each other in order to assure that the other 2 branches of government do not gain too much power. All directions for teachers and students are located within the document. Easy to follow and easy to play. Students asked me the rest of the year if we could play the game again. The lesson is differentiated for readiness and by example. Also falls in line with the common core by having students cite textual evidence to check the other branch. This game is a guaranteed success in class. MUST be used in conjunction with my Checks and balances game docs, which can also be purchased.
