This five page document includes multiple activities to lay the framework for a unit around French cheeses, culminating in a class cheese tasting. Included in the document are:
1) Vocabulary list for discussing taste, texture, shape, and opinions of different cheeses
2) A brief vocabulary quiz
3) Graphic organizers for taking notes and drawing pictures of cheese during the tasting
4) A homework assignment/ follow up presentation assignment for written and oral student evaluation of their cheese tasting experience.
I used this with an 8th grade Level 2 course, but could easily be extended to higher levels.
