This is a PowerPoint Jeopardy Review on Chemical Bonding. In this game, students review the basics of chemical bonding, including the concepts of atoms, ions, and compounds. Questions engage students in counting atoms in compounds, naming compounds, and calculating the overall charge of ions from the number of protons and electrons. The game has hyperlinks on each slide that, when clicked, go back to the scoreboard after every question. A final jeopardy question is also included.
I like to use this review game by dividing students into groups. I give a copy of the scoreboard to each group of students. During the game, groups write their answers on small whiteboards, and then show their answers. If they get the correct answer, they circle the number on their group's scoreboard print-out. If they get the question wrong, they put an "x" on the number. Before Final Jeopardy, each group tallies its scores and then makes a wager.
