This 36 task card set gives your students practice writing formulas and names for ionic compounds including ionic compounds with polyatomic ions. There are also questions asking students to calculate the atomic mass of different ionic compounds. Fantastic for extra practice, transition activity, and bell ringer warm-ups. Also great as a part of sub plans.
I use these cards with my 8th-9th grade physical science students quite a bit as they learn to write formulas - I've also used them with 1st-year chemistry students as a quick review and formative assessment to see where they are at the beginning of the unit.
Task cards are so versatile - I use them as a part of a pack of emergency sub plans, as relay games with groups, as partner work, as a review, and as warm-ups to get my students focused for the day.
Set includes 4 blank cards for your own questions - laminate the entire set and use these over and over!
An answer sheet is included and an answer key as well.
These task cards plus all of my other physical science task cards are sold in a bundle at tremendous savings - a 45% discount. You can find that bundle here: Middle School Physical Science Task Card Bundle
