PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This lab should be used as the first chemistry lab students conduct as an introduction the year. Each mini lab is tied to a chapter that will be covered throughout the year such as thermochemistry, acids and bases, gas laws, states of matter, etc. There are 14 mini lab experiments in this one lab.

I would use this lab as a pre-test to see what students know about chemistry concepts while testing their safety skills, lab skills, content specific skills (chemical vs. physical), and lab written skills.

Have students rotate from one station to the next every 5 minutes or have them work at their own pace with the materials at a general station.

The lab is very descriptive and each experiment lists the chemicals needed and materials needed for ease. Labels for the beakers are also included (tape onto outside of beaker and throw away after all classes have conducted the experiment).
