During or after completing this study interested students may be invited to participate in a “Scientist of the Week” demonstration. Participation may be limited to these students or extended to all. This idea entails handing out experiments (related to physical and chemical changes) that would match student interest and capability. Students are expected to gather their own needed supplies and practice the experiment with parental support. When ready, students bring their experiment in to demonstrate before the class. My experiences with this in the past have been high student interest and terrific student learning! Experiments to launch this idea are not included.
