The focus of this quantitative lesson will apply the mole concept twofold. First, compound analysis, specifically percent composition as well as empirical / molecular formulas, will be explored. The second half of this lesson will concentrate on reaction stoichiometry, where students will use balanced equations to predict either mass, particles, moles, or volume of a compound, starting with mass, particles, moles, or volume of a different compound.
Please note: limiting reactant and percent yield are not covered in this lesson.
