★ Just Updated on 10/28/16! ★ Get students involved with this chemistry lesson by keeping it interactive with a Think, Pair, Share Activity about Classifying Elements, Compounds, and Mixtures. How Does It Work?
→ Provide Background: Begin class with a mini-lecture that includes click to reveal guided notes about what is an element, compound, and mixture.

→ Get Interactive: Students can take turns by coming up to the white board to complete the interactive flow chart that can be used as a tool for completing the Think, Pair, Share activity.

→ Think, Pair, Share: Students will analyze diagrams to determine if the diagram is a pure substance, an element, a compound, or a mixture. Students can then pair with a neighbor to discuss and share final answers as a class at the white board.
