Product Description
Students will walk around the room and visit 10 different stations. Ideas for stations are provided or teacher can create his/her own. Some examples include toasted bread, dissolved salt in water and a rusted nail. Students write whether they observe a chemical or physical change and provide a reason for their choice. This is a basic worksheet that is turned into a station activity for increased engagement. This activity is easy to set up and can be saved from year to year, with a few exceptions. You wouldn't want to save a piece of apple from year to year. The lab can be used as a formative assessment and you can tell why students are confused because they are providing a reason for their answers.
