Point of View Activities:
Students will have a great time identifying who is telling the story at different points of the text with 2 different point of view interactive activities.

There is a cut and paste worksheet activity, which allows students to determine point of, view between Melanie Watt and Chester the cat.

There is also a short, ready to print, book about a dog named Dewey. Simply print the book as a 2-sided document and fold in half. Give students a red pen and allow them to become Chester or another character of their choosing to rewrite the story.

Shades of Meaning Activities:
Students can practice determining shades of meaning among verbs with 4 different worksheets that includes a blank set for teachers to write their own verbs.

Students can practice determining shades of meaning among adjectives with 2 different worksheets that includes a blank set for teachers to write their own verbs.

Story Maps:
There are 2 story maps to go with Chester and Chester’s Back for students to write or draw to show what happens in the beginning, middle and end of the story.

Poem:
This cute writing activity goes perfect with the book Chester and give students a chance to practice adjectives as they write an acrostic poem with the letters of their names.

Chester Craft:
Tracers and sample are included for students to create their very own Chester the cat using construction paper.
