Product Description
This clip chart pack is great for classroom management and open lines of communication with parents. The chart can be used with clothespins, magnets, or (when placed on a bulletin board), thumbtacks with student name slips on them. It has 7 levels (one starting block, 3 "up" levels, and 3 "down" levels). The chart is arranged in the following order (top to bottom):

I'm a stupendous student! (light blue)
Having a great day! (blue)
Off to a good start! (pink)
Ready to start the day! (lime green)
Stop and Think (yellow)
Teacher's Choice (orange)
Parent Contact (red)

The specific sentences or phrases on the cards help students to see exactly how they're doing. The teacher's choice card allows you the flexibility of incorporating an existing consequence that already works for your class.

Also included in this pack are recording documents. There is a daily communication slip where students simply circle the level they ended the day on. This allows fast documentation and student accountability. If you prefer weekly documentation, there is also a weekly communication slip where students simply write the days of the week (or their abbreviations) next to the level they ended at each day. This page can be filled out at the end of each day just like the daily slip, but is only sent home at the end of the week. Both communication slips have a space for a parent signature.

I also included a short reflection sheet that students can either fill out themselves, or (for the younger grades) they can be used in a behavior conference with a student. In this case, the student would dictate his/her responses and the teacher would write them down.

The last page is a reward slips page. It is purposefully left generic so that you have flexibility to use it in a way that works for your classroom. Ideas include: giving students who finish the day on a "positive" clip card one of these and doing a weekly drawing, giving these to students who reach the top of the clip chart each day, using these in conjunction with another reward system that you have in place.
