I like my classroom to be full of color so I created these birthday candles using colorful polka dot patterns. I printed these on card stock and laminated them, then I used small clothespins with students' names and the number day of their birthday and put it onto that month's cupcake. My students were super excited when they walked in and saw the colorful display and easy way to see birthdays. There are four candles on a page.
Some other ways to use this display are to put magnets on the back and have student names on magnets around the candle. Or hang a ribbon on the bottom of the cupcake and put clothespins on the ribbon for each cupcake. You can also print the candles and laminate and then write student names on them with dry erase.
Please leave me feedback, any suggestions...if you need them in a different size!
