This clipchart is modeled after Rick Morris's classroom management clip chart. I love this system because it allows students to move up and down the chart all day long, based on their actions. Teachers can use this product to focus more on the positive behaviors, rather than the negative ones.
This particular clip chart features a trendy, color-coded, Chevron-printed background on each label, and a chunky font on each label.
There are 7 levels in this clip chart:
Most of the levels come with multiple wording choices so you can print the ones that best suit your needs.
- pink: role model, outstanding, excellent
- purple: great day, great
- blue: good day, good
- green: ready to learn
- yellow: reminder, slow down
- orange: think about it, think time, time out
- red: consequence, penalty, parent contact, office visit, office referral
To use this product, print out the pages you want and laminate for durability. Purchase one clothespin for each student, and label them with the student's name or classroom number. Place each clothespin on "ready to learn" at the beginning of each day. As students make good choices, you can instruct them to "clip up" or move their clothespin up. Poor choices can result in a "clip down." It's an easy and visual way to remind yourself of each student's behavior throughout the day so that you can concentrate on more important things.
