Product Description
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is a early childhood favorite. What better way to continue the enjoyment than with literacy centers and activities centered around the book? These activities focus on upper and lower case alphabet recognition as well as name recognition. They can be used as centers, for independent work or whole group instruction. Each activity has a sign and any printables needed to complete the activity. With some activities, there are ideas for variations or teacher tips.

Included ...
What's In Your Name? - Students color only the coconuts with the letters that make up their name.

Letter or Not - Students color only the coconuts that have letters. Numbers and punctuation are also on some coconuts to force students to use visual discrimination skills.

Rainbow Name Writing - Students use markers, crayons, colored pencils, etc. to practice writing their names correctly.

Sensory Bin Letter Search - Create a sensory bin buried with letters. As students find a letter in the bin, they color the corresponding coconut on their paper.

Sensory Bottle Letter Search - Create a sensory bottle with letter beads. As students find a letter in the bottle, they color the corresponding coconut on their paper.

My Chicka Chicka Name Craft - Students create a tree like the one in the book. Then they add the letters in their name on the tree. A highly motivating way to practice the correct spelling of their name.

My students love these activities and beg to do them again and again!
