A fun and engaging way to incorporate books into your music classroom!
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is a classic children's book. The rhyming and rhythm of the story makes for a great book in the music room.
I took sections of the story and created rhythmic motives for the students to perform throughout the story. Students all perform the rhythm for Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. These rhythms include quarter notes, eighth notes, half notes, and rest. Perfect for reviewing/practicing rhythms in your classroom. Students can clap the rhythms or even transfer them to instruments.
This lesson includes lesson plan materials, PDFs of all the rhythms, and a score of all the rhythms together.
