This was created to be used at the beginning of Kindergarten. But, it could also be used for Pre-K or even a 1st Grade review.
I will be using rice (dyed green) and pinto beans (to look like mini coconuts) as the filler in my table. I will then throw in some magnetic letters!
Here’s how I will use it: Students will dig a letter out, and place it on their mat directly on top of the matching letter.
You can have them match Lowercase/Lowercase, Uppercase/Uppercase, or Lowercase/Uppercase for more of a challenge. (Depending on what magnetic letters you have available to you).
If you choose to have the students use the black and white mats, they can color the letters on their mat as they find them in the sensory table.
