Students will gain a better understanding of synonyms and antonyms by reading the book, "chicken cheeks", by Michael Ian Black and Kevin Hawkes.
The pages are organized into a "reading packet" and students can read the book on their own at a literacy center or it can be read aloud to the whole class. Students can complete the pages on their own or together!

The book is always a hit for intermediate students (they get a huge kick out of all of the words for behind)!
**The FREE preview file contains coloring pages for the book for you to use, if you want (we used them to make an interactive display of the book)! They come from a fantastic blog (the link is included) and they are free for anyone to use!
