For many students, learning multiplication facts can take time and lots of practice. The Chicken Coop Game offers students an opportunity to learn basic multiplication facts through a fun activity.
Players move around a board avoiding chicken predators and solving simple word problems that involve x2, x5 and x10 multiplication facts. At the end of the farming year (once round the board), the winner is the player who has accumulated the most points for hens, roosters, chicks and chicken products, such as eggs and chicken poop compost.
The game is a creative Math Center Activity for Third Graders, or for struggling mathematicians in higher grades.
This game complements the literacy pack, All About Chickens (see store for details).
