Product Description
This PowerPoint facilitates a two-day lesson on Child Labor. The first half addresses child labor in the United States in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, with a particular focus on the "breaker boys." Day two addresses modern day child labor with a focus on the brick kilns of Pakistan. The PowerPoint is infused with primary sources (visual and text), video clips, and interactive activities such an instructions for students to reflect, journal, and "think-pair-share." The lesson ends with a call for change and asks students to brainstorm things that can be done to address this issue.
