This non-standardized assessment was created to help the trained SLP differentially diagnose suspected Childhood Apraxia of Speech from articulation and/or phonological disorders. The assessment includes instructions, target words of varying and increasingly complex syllable construction, multisyllabic words, and word-phrase-sentence tasks of increasing length. Totals for various errors are included with each sub-section for easy percentage tallying. Sections for documenting behavior and other notes are included. This assessment was designed using information from CAS-specific trainings and a review of current research.
