Product Description
My creative writing curriculum is based on journaling. I give the students prompts that hopefully provoke lost memories. My intent is for my students to write their memories down in a journal, and it is from these memories that we craft our stories.

Well, this is one of my favorite writing prompts. It involves my students drawing pictures of their childhood houses (maybe the one they are in now) and labeling 15 parts of the house with a childhood memory. Each label must start with "I remember..."

I break them into groups of three once they have completed their project and I have them share their 15 memories with each other. If they come up with new ones amidst this process, then I encourage them to hand-write them in.

After the project is complete, I have 15 separate journal prompts for the next 15 days. For each day of journaling, I have the students write a new "I remember..." at the top of a page. They fill in the details for that day's journaling assignment.
