This assignment is the perfect companion for any Holocaust unit. In this activity, students will work in groups to explore web sites relating to children who were victims of the Holocaust and read the history of these children. Each group will choose four children from the websites, and along with their personal poems, will create a fifteen entry journal. The assignment meets the standards for historical fiction exploration and investigative writing. Students will be able to understand the impact the Holocaust had on the world and will be able to relate their personal experiences with the experiences of children from the past.
