Product Description

This 5-Pack includes the following Old Testament Bible Lessons for children, ages 7-11:

Lesson 11 – Gideon Battles the Bully - teaches your students that God can and often does use the most unlikely of people to do great things just as he did Gideon to defeat the Midianites (Judges 6 and 7).

Lesson 12 – The Book of Ruth - teaches your students the story of Ruth (Ruth 1-4) who was redeemed by a man named by Boaz after her husband had died. It also teaches how we needed a Redeemer which became Jesus when he died on a cross for our sins.

Lesson 13 – The Foolishness of King Uzziah - teaches your students the story of King Uzziah (2 Chronicles 25-26) who began his reign serving God, only to become full of pride and find himself humbled by the Lord in a big way. Your students will learn the power that pride can have over one’s life when they allow themselves to be consumed by its power.

Lesson 14 – The Life of Joseph - teaches your students the story of Joseph (Genesis, Chapters 37, 39-47) who was sold as a slave by his own brothers, only to rise as the second in command in all of Egypt and save his family from a famine in the land. Your students will learn how sometimes God allows bad things to happen as part of a bigger plan to do something great.

Lesson 15 – Gehazi and the Big Lie - teaches your students the story of Gehazi (2 Kings 5), the servant to the prophet Elisha. He had a problem with coveting the things of others and ended up paying a costly price for taking things that were not his. Your students will learn not to desire the things of others and trust God to provide them with everything that they need.

Each lesson is made up of the following components to minimize preparation time and maximize effectiveness:

  • Today’s Memory Verse and Bible Story Location – displays a Memory Verse and the location of the Bible Verses that inspired the story.
  • Word Pronunciation – this component helps with pronouncing names, cities, towns... when required.
  • Introduction – A brief introduction into the Bible Story that will be read.
  • Story Time - The Bible Story itself.
  • Review Time - Contains Review Questions to reinforce the lesson.
  • Let's Discuss - Contains Discussion Questions to reinforce the lesson.
