This 5-Pack includes the following Bible Lessons for children, ages 7-11:
Lesson 31 – A Basket Floating Among the Reeds - teaches your students about the birth of Moses, which occurred at the worst of times. Although Pharaoh had a plan to get rid of all male Hebrew babies born in his country, God had a plan too. (Exodus 1:6-22, 2:1-10, 6:20). Your students will learn to trust God no matter what and that just like Moses, God has great plans for their lives.
Lesson 32 – Run Moses Run - teaches your students about one of the times in Moses’s life where he had a serious error in judgment; in this case, killing an Egyptian slave master. He would have to run for his life, settle in a foreign land for 40 years and go from being a prince to becoming a shepherd (Exodus 2:11-21, Acts 7:20-29, Hebrews 11:24-27). Your students will learn that even when we mess up, God still has a plan for our lives. It may need to change, but it will still accomplish what it was set out to do.
Lesson 33 – Moses and the Burning Bush - teaches your students about an 80-year-old prophet named Moses, who encounters a burning bush that gets his attention long enough for God to speak to him. The Lord instructs him to go back to Egypt to rescue the Israelites from slavery. (Exodus 3, 4, 5, 6, 7:1-13). Your students will learn that when they feel inadequate, just as Moses did in this lesson, God is more than enough to do whatever the Lord asks of them.
Lesson 34 – The Ten Plagues -teaches your students about each of the ten plagues that God sent down upon the nation of Egypt and the hardness of Pharaoh’s heart. (Exodus 7:13-24, 8, 9, 10, 11:4-5). Your students will learn to guard their own hearts, so theirs won’t become like Pharaoh’s.
Lesson 35 – Escape from Egypt - teaches your students the dramatic conclusion of Moses’s commission to free the Israelites from Egyptian captivity (Exodus 11, 12:1-13, 12:29-36, 12:40-41, 13:17-19, 14:5-28). Your students will learn to persevere when life gets difficult because with God on their side, they will always come out victorious.
Each lesson is made up of the following components to minimize preparation time and maximize effectiveness:
