A great introduction to the plot of a story. After reading a children's book, students will map out the exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, resolution, and conflict.
The rubric included in this project allows students to self-monitor how they well they work with a group as well as how well others are working. I have used this method many times and it is a great way to make students aware that they need to stay on task and be a working contributing member of the group.
I have also included the list of children's books that I used in my classroom along with an answer key for each book.
