This is a collection of 25 original children's rights poems. For 34 years, my classrooms were run with constant reflection on children's rights and their co-responding responsibilities. I ALWAYS had a classroom government, and a set of rights and responsibilities that were the basis of how my classroom was run. On a daily basis, discussions about the REAL world, its challenges and glories and effects on my students lives took place. This collection of poetry is one of my proudest works of the many hundreds I've done across the curriculum and they provoked discussion, inspired art and brought kudos from other teachers with whom I did in-services on creative writing and children's rights over the years.
The piece includes a SIMPLY PUT list of the rights of the child.
