China's geography is amazing, important, and relevant for students buying into their studies of culture. Understanding the geography, political map, and location of key geographical figures will pay dividend in their understanding of the Chinese history unit in Social Studies.
This is a combination of a webquest with short tasks to find on a map, research areas of interest, relate them to the area in which they live and go to school. This brings elements of inquiry, research, coloring, making a key, and cultural relevance to the modern day cities in China. There's a little something in it for everyone.
This could be a good pair or collaborative assignment as well.
