These puzzles are a great way to let your students have collaborative learning time!
Chinese history is LONG and confusing for students. In order for students to be prepared for end-of-year exams or the AP World History exam they need constant reinforcement of the important factual information. These puzzles will help!
In small groups (or the whole group!) students will match up the information to the correct dynasty. I include my recommendations for which puzzles should be completed together and in order to keep it more manageable for your students I have color coded them for the end of the year when they have to complete all of the puzzles!
Each piece of information is written as prompt rather than writing out long answers. Once the puzzles are complete have the students use the prompts. They can talk out each puzzle piece or write out the answers for each prompt.
I also like to reinforce PERSIA charts with students. Have students identify how they would classify each prompt. “This is Political. This is Social.”
I designed the puzzles for easy cutting because spending an hour cutting a ton of intricate puzzle pieces is not something I want to do.
