This is a graphic organizer containing major events in China during the Middle Ages. This table contains the four major dynasties from 618-1644. Tang, Song, Yuan, and Ming. It is focused on providing students with an overview of each dynasties political and cultural/technological developments.
Included in this organizer are developments after the reunification of China, advances in Chinese technology such as printing, the compass, and gunpowder. The brief decline in technological advances after the Mongol conquest are also incorporated. Lastly, the achievements in the arts and the importance of the scholar-official class based on Imperial civil service examinations are highlighted. It could be cut into a card sort for guided practice, assessment, or test prep.
