This handout is a read-to-write activity which includes two original Chinese texts about two different restaurants. Students must read the text and cite it to support their opinion.
The student imagines that he/she is the president of a Chinese Food Club who writes a review of one restaurant each month. The writer needs to pick one of the two restaurants that he/she feels is the best based on the articles.
The result is common-core-aligned persuasive writing in Chinese. The activity can also be used as homework or a classroom activity.
