This resource is a prepared / scaffolded reading on religious traditions in Chinese history and their impact on society (Confucianism, Legalism, Taoism, Buddhism, and Christianity) This was used in an AP World class. Students had to read and annotate the text in order to learn, in depth, about different traditions in Chinese history and their impact. Then, they completed a graphic organizer on the second to last page in order to summarize their learning. A map of Chinese provinces is included to help with the geographical terms, and some of the vocabulary is defined for students in the right hand column. This took up one 1.5 hour block period, and we ended with a discussion.
