Often, students with autism need motivators to work for to keep them compliant with teacher directives. Face it, we work for the motivator of a paycheck, right? So, the "Choice Board" is simply a collection of pictures or images that the student chooses from before being asked to complete a task. When the task is complete, he/she gets the actual motivator they chose. A free favorites form is available to download under my digital downloads. Have parents fill this out so you will know what pictures you will need to take. I laminate and Velcro pictures so that I can change motivators when they start to lose their motivational value.
