Are you looking for an interactive, FUN, and meaningful way to teach your students the difference between appropriate and inappropriate behaviors? This adorable construction-themed "Tool or Trash?" sorting game is perfect for emerging readers since no reading is required! It can be played with a large group of students on a projector, in centers, in individual counseling, or in small group counseling! I play this game in my social skills groups and my students LOVE it!

  • Adorable instructional posters that teach students the difference between "tool" choices (good, helpful, kind, responsible, safe) that we can add to our behavioral toolbox and "trash" choices (sad, unhelpful, unkind, irresponsible, unsafe) that we can throw away in the back of the dump truck!
  • Interactive sorting mat game that asks students to draw one of 36 cards, discuss the choice that the card shows, and sort it either onto the "tool" space or the "trash" space on the mat.
  • Closing worksheet to sum up the activity!
  • All materials included in full color and black/white!
