This multi-media PowerPoint counselor guidance lesson is perfect for teaching the concept of making choices relating to the bullying behavior of spreading rumors and the impact of making poor choices. It is based upon the book, Mr. Peabody's Apples.
The presentation allows you to teach about choices, consequences, and the ripples that go out when one makes a choice to participate in spreading gossip. If you have as much "girl drama" as I have in my school, you will definitely want to use this. I even was able to incorporate the "ripple effect" into the transitions for the slides.
This presentation also relates the ability to problem-solve to how it will relate to future careers as well as current life.
Animation and transitions are included in the presentation to help to hold the interest of students. Video is approximately 10 minutes long.
This multimedia PowerPoint presentation will take approximately 30 minutes to present and is geared toward K through 5th grade students.
I created this presentation so that the students can really understand the concept of how important it is to stop rumors and to report when one is beginning to circulate. This skill is not only needed to be successful at school, but also needed to be successful in their daily interactions in the classroom and in life.
