This product includes 4 activities that are in color and black and white for astrobright printing.
The four activities are;
1. Tasting Differences - The first activity has prep to it. There are three different food combinations that students will taste and complete the chart on the food and if they like it. Then students create a line in the room. If they liked it, they would step to the right and left if they did not. This way those who did or didn't can connect with each other and the different sides can talk about why or why not. This will help them see the differences in people and accept them.
2. Bully Free Zone - This activity is for whole group after reading the book. It is a chart for the class to create and fill in 5 steps to take when we see bullying in the classroom and how to stop it.
3. Accepting Differences - Students will create a drawing of some kind of food they love based off their family traditions. They will write about it on the other side of the page.
4.Know Bullying - There are differences between rude, mean, and bullying. In the fourth activity there is a chart with the words and definitions. The third column is for students to write/draw their own definition of each one. I also role play with each word and definition.
This is also a part of a bundle that is listed in the store (link below) and this book is bundled with 19 other mentor texts for soft skills!
