Whole class writing which tapers off into group writing and eventually into individual writing and work. Students review concepts of narrative, dialogue, plot, characterization, conflict, resolution, figurative language, and descriptive imagery as they write as a group. Reviewing and writing as a group prepares student to write individually. It also encourages peer to peer dialogue and peer to peer teaching. This lesson is labeled as Narrative but can be adaptable to other units and other subjects besides English/Language Arts.
