This product contains a choice board of homework assignments
for a first unit of beginning Spanish. This is a great way to differentiate and allow for student choice. Students are asked to choose 4 activities out of 12 to complete. This product also contains an editable
PowerPoint slide so that you can input your own activities if you choose. Please note that you must have PowerPoint to properly view and edit the slide.
The topics covered in the assignments are greetings and introductions, alphabet, months/days, time, and general cultural investigation. Activities to practice listening, speaking, reading, writing are included and are appropriate for Spanish level 1. Samples of the activities include:
*Introduce yourself to 4 faculty or administrators in Spanish and ask their names and how they are today. Teach them how to respond in Spanish if they do not already know. Have them initial in this box below.
*Create a game to practice telling time in Spanish. Lead the class in playing the game.
*Complete 3 lessons on Duolingo
*Interview a person who is fluent in at least 2 languages. When, how and why did this person learn a second language? What does he/she think the benefits are to being bilingual? What tips can the person give about how to best learn another language? Report your findings in a paper or presentation
**Please note that if you already have my Homework Choice Board: ¿Qué te gusta hacer?, some of the activities listed on this board are the same. I purposefully do this in my classes to give the student some standard choices that they can always expect to see for homework. The editable board is also the same**
