Problem solving is always a challenge. I find that my students skim the question and guess what they should do based on the numbers that are there (small numbers = add and multiply, big numbers = subtract and divide). I created this product to require students to comprehend and visualize the question being asked. Each scenario uses the same situation and set of numbers. *Note: My intention with this was NOT for kids to solve the problem—just sort them into the correct operations. That’s why the numbers are larger in multiplication.
