Composed by George Frideric Handel (1685-1759). Arranged by Eugenia Goldman.
This lively chorus tune from Handel's opera "Tolomeo" is a perfect way to introduce beginning string players to Baroque music. Featuring an ornate melody in the first violin part, well-defined phrases, rhythmic diversity, and dynamical changes throughout the piece, this arrangement provides challenges for every section of the orchestra. In addition to the piece, the set includes supplementary scales, arpeggios, and exercises for mastering the material.
