Chorus Sight Singing. ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ (Sight Reading)
I begin with the scale, and then start sight singing with do re mi. This document provides plenty of repetition and sequences easily. Once you introduce the do-mi skip, your students will have it forever. Easy sight singing begins using the bottom space (key of F), but C is a universal key all singers need to learn, as it's the only major key with no accidentals. You can sing it in whatever key feels comfortable. This one is so simple, you can even incorporate the Kodaly-Curwen hand signs. You students will master this quickly. Break it down into chunks and either complete it one page a day, or 16 measures a day, covering it in four days.
