I created this rubric to structure conversations between teacher and student in regard to student behavior in the choral music classroom. The student must complete each item on the assessment and the teacher must also complete each item on the assessment. When teacher and student are finished with the assessment, both parties can see where there is a disagreement and then have a mutually beneficial conversation about specific student behaviors that need to improve. I have had great success with challenging students when I use this rubric. It is also a document that can be shared with support staff, administrators and parents in an effort to improve student behavior in your classroom.
