Product Description
Effective for middle school or beginning high school chorus.

♪ What is the significance of woodshedding? Improve your singers' productivity by using this chorus worksheet.
Great SUB Activity. No Prep!
♪ Once students understand the concept of woodshedding, you will have less whining about not singing the song all the way through.
♪ Students need to understand that until they get all the notes, rhythm, diction, vowel mouth shape, entrances, cut offs, expression, and phrasing correct in one section, they really are not ready to move on to something else.
♪ SAVE YOUR VOICE AND SAVE YOUR TIME! Let your students read and answer the questions and teach the lesson with this worksheet. Use my “teach it with a worksheet” class completion method. I suggest having your students complete the worksheet together as a class. Call on different students at random to read the questions, then use my "legal blurt out" system. Tell your students if they know the answer, to say it out loud. Then everyone fills in the blank. Then, all students turn in their papers, and everyone gets 100% for completing the worksheet. This makes grading so much easier for you, and makes your students very happy. (If you wish to hold them individually accountable, use this later as a quiz. Ask yourself if you need to spend a lot of personal time grading papers.) What you care about is them understanding the concept, and understanding what you mean when you say “We are going to be woodshedding letter A today.”
♪ Woodshedding is especially important for middle school chorus students, as they require a lot of repetition to learn their voice parts.
